When fire sprinkler system leaks have become too frequent, total system replacement is often considered. This calculator compares a benchmark option of total system replacement to the alternative of limited remediation work based on recommendations from a corrosion assessment. In most cases, limited pipe replacement is just as effective as total system replacement for reducing future leak risk.
This calculator does not account for additional costs associated with ongoing leak repairs or water damage remediation. For each case presented, our best estimate is used. ECS is not a fire sprinkler contractor, and thus, the numbers shown should be considered rough estimates and not exact budgets. Our goal in this calculation is to estimate the order of magnitude of cost savings that a limited remediation approach can achieve.
